Rev. Bill Keller, the self-proclaimed world leader in internet evangelism and founder of liveprayer.com has some harsh words for Bill Maher.
Calling him a gutless blasphemer after the comedian and atheist made a number of remarks about God and the bible on his show, Keller challenged Satan-loving Maher to a live debate to set him right about his claims.
“Maher, like his hero satan, is a typical gutless wonder who bravely runs his mouth when unopposed, but is a true coward when it comes to defending his blasphemous beliefs against someone who can articulate a case for the Christian faith like myself.
That is why his guests are the hosts from MSNBC who nobody watches, others who agree with is beliefs, along a “token” from the other side of the political spectrum who isn’t equipped or willing to mentally battle him and his guests as they mock God, Christ, the Bible, and Christians in general.
Keller concluded, “I actually pray for Maher each day, since Jesus died for his sins just like He did mine. Having debated in the media and public forums all of the top supporters of killing babies, the homosexual agenda including gay marriage and adoption, atheists, apologists for cults like Mormonism and Scientology, leading Imam’s from the false religion of Islam, guys like Maher are great when they can spew their blasphemy unopposed. However, when faced with someone like myself who can clearly articulate the Christian faith, their lies are exposed and beliefs fall apart. That is why I am Maher’s worst nightmare and he will hide like the coward he is!”
During last week’s Sunday address, Pope Francis talked about temptation and Satan.
“The tempter tries to divert Jesus from the Father’s plan, that is, from the path of sacrifice, of love that offers itself in expiation; to make Him take an easy road, [a road] of success and power,” the Pope said. “The devil, in fact, to divert Jesus from the way of the Cross, makes present to him the false messianic hopes: economic well-being, indicated by the ability to turn stones into bread; a spectacular and miraculous style, with the idea of casting Himself down from the highest point of the Temple of Jerusalem and being saved by angels; and finally the shortcut of power and domination, in exchange for an act of worship to Satan.”
“Jesus decisively rejects all these temptations and reaffirms [His] firm intention to follow the path established by the Father, without any compromise with sin or with the logic of the world,” the Pope continued. “Note well how Jesus responds: He doesn’t dialogue with Satan, as Eve did in the terrestrial Paradise. Jesus knows well that one can’t dialogue with Satan, because he is so cunning. For this reason, instead of dialoguing, as Eve did, Jesus chooses to take refuge in the Word of God and to respond with the power of this Word.”
“Let us remind ourselves of this in the moment of temptation, of our temptation: not arguing with Satan, but defending ourselves with the Word of God,” Pope Francis added. And this will save us.”
The actor that played Jesus in the recent ‘Son of God’ epic will soon take on a more sinister role as Satan.
The Christian Post reports:
Diogo Morgado, the actor who plays Jesus in the recently-released “Son of God” movie, will reportedly play a more devilish character in his upcoming CW television series, “The Messengers.”
Sources close to the new series’ production team have told multiple media outlets that Morgado will be playing a more sinister character in the upcoming series. TMZ claims the Brazilian-born actor was “cast as the devil” in the new show, while The Daily Mail reports Morgado will play “a character from hell.”
As The Hollywood Reporter described last week, Morgado will reportedly play the role of “The Man,” a mysterious character who appears on earth as a selected group of humans scramble to save the world from an impending apocalypse. Morgado’s character will first appear in the new sci-fi drama as “naked and burned in the desert, [setting] out on a mission to provide some answers about the strange events.”
TMZ also reports that the CW network is keeping details of Morgado’s new role top secret, as reportedly those behind the recently-released “Son of God” movie fear news of Morgado’s new devilish role will stir outrage among Christian moviegoers and cause ticket sales to plummet.
