A goat head was found in Brooklyn this week causing Joe Veix of Death and Taxes to speculate on a bizarre, hipster-Satanic ritual behind the head, although the Gothamist decided it was likely Santeria-induced, not Satan love. Who knows? In the meantime, the most bizarre part about this tale is that it is not the first time a severed goat’s head has appeared in the area.
On Monday, a decapitated goat head was found in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, tagged with the number “93″ on the ear. While the number possibly indicates that it comes from a slaughterhouse or meat market, it also seems perfectly reasonable to jump to insane conclusions and say that it’s a new trend: Satanist hipsters are to blame, god damn them.
If you follow the decapitated goat head beat, you may recall that a previous goat head was discovered in the same park four years ago. It’s possibly related, but who knows? Maybe sawin’ off goat heads is just totally normcore now.
What’s it all mean? Is The Yellow King involved? We may never know.
